A good friend of mine, Michelle Livengood, who has four sons, was lamenting to me one afternoon how there is such a dearth of quality, convicting books for boys. The more I thought about what she said, the more I realized she was right. With three daughters and three sons of my own, I realized that while I had spent years filling our family bookshelves with quality Christian titles for my daughters, the shelves I had hoped to fill for my three boys was conspicuously empty. And so began my quest to find some truly life-changing stories for my boys...and Michelle's. Our "Young Men of Valor" series is the result of that quest. These are not just "stories for boys." They are faith-building, life-challenging stories that will captivate your boys (actually, we've found that girls love these stories too!) and encourage them to read, while at the same time convicting them to live fully for the Lord.
